Metro Art Presents: The Cory Beers Cimbalom Band

Union Station North Patio

September 22, 2017 from 4pm to 6pm

Join Metro Art Los Angeles in welcoming The Cory Beers Cimbalom Band to Union Station for an afternoon of traditional Eastern European music.

This event is free and open to the public. No tickets or reservations required.

One of the most exciting acoustic ensembles in Los Angeles, The Cory Beers Cimbalom Band was formed in 2014, centered around the cimbalom, an enormous hammered dulcimer closely related to the piano. Equally at home in classical, folk and jazz situations, the CBCB maintains a fluency in traditional repertoire from the various regions of Eastern Europe from which the cimbalom hails, performing music in idioms sometimes strange and sometimes very much at home for the instrumentation. Joined by accordion, contrabass, and sometimes trumpet and violin, the Cory Beers Cimbalom Band performs with a virtuosity, fluency and grit that only they can deliver.

Metro Art Presents showcases an exciting array of arts and cultural programs at historic Union Station. All events are free and open to the public. For more information: unionstationla.com
