DTLA Donut Fest 2018

Union Station South Patio

June 16, 2018 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Join us for a one-day edible exploration of L.A.’s favorite pastry at the first-ever DTLA Donut Festival at Union Station. The momentously mouthwatering event will showcase the donut in all its many guises: plain, glazed, and filled; traditional and new wave along with “donut-adjacent” treats including churros, apple fritters, and (of course) donut holes.

Stroll through the The Whole Donut Marketplace, a baker’s dozen of donut vendors from LA’s old-school cult favorites to trendy “fashion-forward” donuts from celebrity pastry chefs.

The “Fast Track” to the best of L.A.’s donuts will include:

Trejo’s Donuts – A genius new-style donut from actor Danny Trejo. Primo’s Donuts – A classic Westside L.A. donut destination since 1956. DK’s Donuts – Home of the double-decker #O-NUT featured on Food Network. Glazed Donut Bar – Made-to-order, custom-glazed donuts . Fat Uncle Farms – Organic treats from locally grown heirloom Sonora wheat. J’s Mini Donuts – Mini donuts baked fresh on site from mobile donut truck. Donut Princess LA – Changing the donut game with the Donut Bouquet. Kettle Glaze – Classic donuts with modern flavors. Air + Day Vegan Donuts – All vegan donut options. Dream Donut Truck – The first specialty donut truck in SoCal. RING Baked Tofu Donuts – Japanese-style tofu donuts, including vegan & gluten-free options. Churros Don Abel – Traditional Mexican Churros for a modern world.

The DTLA Donut Festival will also feature a “live fry” donut station making hot apple fritters to order and third-wave coffee vendors for dunking along with donut-compatible offerings including wood-fired pizza and craft beer. Additionally, Chef demos throughout the day will teach visitors how to make their own photo-ready donuts.

In the spirit of fostering positive relations between the LAPD and the DTLA community, Donut Festival goers and the city’s uniformed officers will be invited to drop in for Coffee with a Cop, a community-outreach initiative launched in 2011 to bring together officers and the citizens they serve every day.
